The breeder’s names provided here are members of the Golden Retriever Club of Queensland and registered owners of purebred dogs who have met criteria (see below) to be showcased on this page. These breeders may advertise litters for sale, full health certification, is provided to the club for every litter advertised.

breeders list criteria

  • Minimum 5 years continuous membership or minimum of two years and endorsed by their mentor, mentor must be nominated and accept in writing, must be a SENIOR breeder, 10 plus years, they must be a respected member of a GR club worldwide.
  • Must be an active member of the club and state how they contribute.
  • Must agree to notify the Secretary when puppies are available and recap via email weekly, must give due date or DOB, health certs and what puppies are available.
  • Must agree to comply with Dogs Qld Code of Conduct and Breeder’s Code of Conduct.
  • Must not act as an agent for non-club members/breeders and only refer queries from the Club to other authorised Club breeders.
  • Must not represent dogs as anything other than golden retrievers as per the breed standard, in any advertising (eg: no red field dogs, no English creams).
  • Will provide the club with hip and elbow, heart and current eye certificates (mandatory) as well as DNA (optional) for any litters notified to the club.
  • Will agree to provide full support to puppy buyers for the life of their dog.
  • Will provide introductory pet insurance for every dog/puppy sold.
  • Understand failure to comply with the above mentioned rules will result in immediate and permanent removal from the list.
