GRCQ INC CHALLENGE DOG AND BITCH OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

Competition dates run from 1 January each year until 31 December of the same year. Trophies will be awarded to the winners at a show early in the following year. The show will be published on the Facebook Group.

There are two Zones:

THE SOUTHERN ZONE

Covers from the Queensland border to the Northern border of Bundaberg. This zone has awards for both the Highest Dog and the Highest Bitch.

Members in this zone are required to submit copies of their top 10 Best of Breed, Challenge Certificates or Group Certificates from Championship Shows (Royal Shows, Kennel Club and Agricultural Shows are accepted)

THE COUNTRY ZONE

Starts from the northern border of Bundaberg. This is limited to the dog or bitch that receives the highest number of points according to the scoring which appears below. All shows, including Agricultural Shows can be included.

Total of highest 10 challenge points (including points awarded for Best in Group/Show)

Additional points awarded as follows:-

Best in Show – 10 points

Runner up in Show – 8 points

Class in Show – 4 points

Best in Group – 5 points Runner up in Group – 3 points Class in Group – 1 point

All entries are to be received with photocopies of the certificates by the Secretary in regular post or

THIS COMPETITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT GRCQ MEMBERS (all registered owners and handlers must be current GRCQ members).

GRCQ Inc Obedience Dog of the Year Competition

There are possibly two awards given for Obedience Dog of the Year competition. If the Top Obedience Dog does not come from novice, there will then be a separate award for the highest scoring Novice. The winner will be announced in the Club newsletter. Forward a copy of your top three (3) score cards to the Secretary by post. This competition does not apply to Community Companion Dog (CCD). Qualifying cards to come from Queensland trials only. Sweepstakes do not count towards this trophy.

NOVICE DOG OF THE YEAR RULES
Highest three (3) scores in Obedience trials in Queensland only in Novice Class on the condition that the highest scoring Golden Retriever is not out of Novice Class. Sweepstakes do not count towards this trophy.
