2010 Non Champion Pointscore Competition
About the competition

A Non- Champion Point Score competition will be run throughout 2010 at selected Shows. The point score is held to encourage participation by GRCQ members in conformation showing. The full list of shows for 2010 appears below.  Point score updates will appear regularly in the newsletter. The first point score show will be our Open Show held on 20 February 2010.  

Please note the following:-

To be eligible for the competition, dogs must be only be handled by a member of the GRCQ at point score shows.

  • All dogs are nominated by their owner for inclusion in the competition. They can be nominated at any time during the competition, but points will only be included from the next pointscore show after their nomination. All nominations are to be in writing (letter or e-mail) to the Secretary, GRCQ. Nominations received by 31 March 2010 will be backdated to the start of the competition.

  • Dogs can be withdrawn at any time but this must be in writing to the Secretary, GRCQ.

  • Once a dog/bitch gains 100 challenge points, they are ineligible to compete further in the Non-Champion pointscore.

A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the point score competition at the February Open show 2011.

Point Score Structure

The maximum points obtainable at each point score show will be 5 points. The GRCQ Open and Championship Shows receive double points.

If a Tiebreaker is required the date of the Combined CCC Club Show is Sunday 5th December 2010.

Scoring

A marked catalogue will be completed on the day, and progressive tally kept by the Show Secretary. Updates will be published regularly in the newsletter. All queries relating to the scoring are to be addressed to The Secretary. grcqld@gmail.com

2010 GRCQ Inc Challenge Dog and Bitch of the Year Competition

There are two Zones;

THE SOUTHERN ZONE

Covering from the Queensland border to the Northern border of Bundaberg. This zone has awards for both the Highest Dog and the Highest Bitch.

  • Members in this zone are required to submit copies of their top ten Best of Breed and Challenge Certificates from Queensland Championship Shows only (no Royal Shows or Agriculture Shows).

Members competing in the Southern Zone cannot submit Best of Breed or Challenge Certificates from Agriculture Shows.

THE COUNTRY ZONE

Which starts from the northern border of Bundaberg. This is limited to the dog or bitch that receives the highest number of points for according to the scoring which appears below.

  • Members in this zone are required to submit copies of their top ten Best of Breed and Challenge Certificates and Group/Show wins (including Reserve in Group).
  • Two points are awarded for Best in Group or Class in Show (including Reserve in Show).
  • Three points will be awarded for those who achieve Best in Show.

Members competing in the Northern Zone can submit Best of Breed or Challenge Certificates from Agriculture Shows but not royal shows.

BOTH ZONES

All entries are to be received with photocopies of the certificates by the Secretary regular post – no email entries accepted.

THIS COMPETITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT GRCQ MEMBERS (all registered owners must be current GRCQ members).

2010 GRCQ Inc Obedience Dog of the Year Competition

There are possibly two awards given for Obedience Dog of the Year competition. If the Top Obedience Dog does not come from novice, there will then be a separate award for the highest scoring Novice. The winner will be announced in the Club newsletter.

Forward a copy of your top three (3) score cards to the Secretary by post. This competition does not apply to Community Companion Dog (CCD). Qualifying cards to come from Queensland trials only. Sweepstakes do not count towards this trophy.

NOVICE DOG OF THE YEAR RULES

Highest three (3) scores in Obedience trials in Queensland only in Novice Class on the condition that the highest scoring Golden Retriever is not out of Novice Class. Sweepstakes do not count towards this trophy.

BOTH AWARDS

All entries are to be received with photocopies of the certificates by the secretary in regular post – no email entries accepted..
